CURRICULUM – PRIMARY

At Afifah Primary School, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of our students. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners and is based on the national curriculum standards.
We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, as well as science, technology, arts and Humanities education. We also provide opportunities for students to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills through hands-on learning experiences.

In addition, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs that allow our pupils to explore their interests and passions. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in the 21st century by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Class teachers are responsible for the children’s welfare and delivery of the curriculum. Work is planned jointly with close liaison of the teaching staff and is supported and communicated to our teaching assistant team. During planning, staff share the preparation of work, drawing on different experiences, knowledge and expertise to ensure work is relevant and well matched to meet the needs of the children.  In this way, we are able to utilise the strengths of a staff team and enhance the quality of learning and teaching.
